Born in the Philippines; immigrated to the U.S. in 1980. Retired in 2014 and thinking of a place to retire that is affordable and convenient for visits to family in the U.S. From my 1-week all inclusive vacation in Punta Cana in August 2015 and the information on this blog, DR seems to meet those criteria.
