Introduction
I arrived here in early October 2010 as a Personal Wealth manager for ex-pats for a company that has been in Jakarta since 1994. I was based in Melbourne and have over 20 years experience in many varied facets of the finance industry. I have worked in London, New York and Hong Kong but have found Jakarta to be just as vibrant. (Based on 2 weeks observation). I am looking forward to immersing myself in the Jakarta experience.

Expat experience
I have two daughters back home (11 and 13) with my ex-wife. (The ex is another good reason to move to Jakarta).
Family and friends.
The cold and also since the onset of the Global Financial Crisis, there has been a marked slowdown in the Financial Services industry.
