Introduction
I have taken early retirement and begun my final sojourn to the great unknown in Mexico. I am not happy here and am considering moving to Thailand. I have decided but have not determined when. I am somewhat ascetic, non-partier, and prefer the quietness of a good home where I can cook, read and write. I was born in Canada, of North American Indian heritage, holder of a Swiss passport and of independent means.

Expat experience
Retirement... I have not felt at peace here mainly because of the unsettled situation vis a vis crime.
People are honest and gracious. Police and officialdom are corrupt and there is much fear because of the narcowars.
