Can anyone in the i-gaming sector answer this? There are now several hundred i-gaming companies on Malta. Of these, which companies have the best reputation in terms of conditions, pay, and decent treatment of employees? Thank you in advance.
Agree with the above post, all the companies mentioned are legitimate and reputable ones. Other ones are: Game suppliers: NYX, Play 'n GO, Yggdrasil, Microgaming Operators: Unibet / Kindred, Casumo, Europe Entertainment Limited, Betclic, Gaming ... Read More
Traffic in Malta by Priscilla
Hello everyone, Which city or area do you live in in Malta, and how do you find the traffic? How long does it take to commute to work or run errands? Is there a rush hour in your city? What times of the day would you recommend people to ...
I agree with previous posters that the traffic is horrendous. After 18 months of 3 hours per day (! :o ) commuting between Naxxar and Sliema I quit my job there and took a contract role within 10min walking distance. I can't begin to tell you ... Read More

It's my 1 year Malta anniversary today and I can't believe how much our lovely village Naxxar has changed in just that short period of time :o Buildings cranes everywhere and traffic is so crazy that taking a bus to Sliema before 9am is ... Read More

I don't see too many dogs, my feeling is that people really like cats with all those cat cafes and older ladies feeding cats on a daily basis :) Today in Bugibba was the first time I saw dog poo down near the perched beach. That was the first ... Read More
Common misconceptions and clichés about life in Malta by Priscilla
Hello everyone, Old clichés die hard, as the saying goes... and living in Malta can generate lots of misconceptions in the eyes of the people. What are the most common misconceptions about the expat lifestyle in Malta? What are the most ...
The other misconception is the friendliness...Whilst yes you would be welcome as a tourist, but when you live here and rely on the people and government services, you will notice that quite a bit of EU laws are essentially thrown out the window in ... Read More
Where do you shop for best value? by charmender
So I have only been here a while and I am wondering where people shop. I have been to The Towers which I find expensive. Plus I hate the layout, like why are fruit and veg down the very bottom floor! (Obviously a marketing technique but annoying). ...
Towers in Sliema IMO is the worst supermarket! Park Towers on Psaila Street on the other hand is very nice, doesn't smell funky, has a much better layout and looks rather fancy :) Like most people on the island we shop at various places due to ... Read More

Haha, it sounds like Germany would indeed be a great fit! Especially Frankfurt with the outskirts in the beautiful Taunus area and a large English & Irish expat scene. Might be worth checking out the toytown forum, which is what I did when I ... Read More

Funny, that's one of the things I really dislike about Germany and Austria - the overregulation; when we were kids, the neighbours once called the police because my sister and I were playing with LEGOs after 8pm. Ridiculous!Wow, I've never ... Read More

Feline, if you don't mind to be policed by other people on what you're doing wrong and if you have no desire to stick out or deviate from the norm you'd absolutely love it in Germany! :D Berlin might be different from that according ... Read More

Sleep deprivation is the worst, combined with the feeling of helplessness when one has noisy neighbours or if the noise level in general is just too high and no one else seems to be bothered. I have to admit that I'm yearning for the quieter ... Read More

Hi, I have just joined the forum, I really hope you could help me get an insight regarding Malta and the average salaries. I'm going to be applying for some Graphic Designer/Artist jobs (based in Malta) in the near but wanted to get an idea ...
No worries :) Glassdoor is not very good for Malta, most companies are missing and hardly any salaries listed, just a few reviews and interviews. Recruiters like Konnekt list quite a few salary ranges for their roles, so maybe have a look there as ... Read More
Job options if you don't (yet) speak Maltese by Shelleymil
Hi all We are relocating to Malta in the next 5 months however I've recently been told that most foreigners work in i'gaming , banking and low paid jobs in tourism and that most 'regular' jobs require Maltese language skills. I ...
I believe most foreigners with decent education and respective experience should be able to find a job (after a few years in Malta) in management or senior position and earn at least some 30k+ per year. But most of the local workers/clerks, which ... Read More

Dorieus, you can actually find out a lot of salaries by doing some internet research :) many recruiters these days state salary ranges and some companies even post them directly in the job ad, such as PokerStars. A customer service agent (German) ... Read More
