I am from Ontario, Canada. I graduated University this past May and earned a Bachelor in Sciences, Liberal Studies. I came to Belgium this past October. I stayed with a friend for a few days then spent three weeks travelling. I visited London, Paris, Bordeaux, Barcelona, Nice, Monaco, Florence, Amsterdam, Bruxelles, and Antwerp Belgium. I decided to stay Leuven as I was offered a position on the Super League Women's professional football player. I was also offered a position coaching at the O-H Leuven Football Club. I am seeking full time employment teaching english or as a nanny/caregiver or server/waitress or sales or customer service. Any help and support would be very much appreciated. I look forward to meeting Canadian expat and other expats. Thanks, Madison

I was a full-time university student and worked as a Student Ambassador, International Admissions, Wilmington University, New Castle, Delaware, USA
I liked the most the people. I enjoyed working in the International Admissions department at Wilmington University. The staff was very friendly and inclusive. The work environment was good and I enjoyed going to work every day. I played football with two women's teams and one co-ed team in the Latino league. The players and the coach were very friendly and inclusive. I made good friends who had my back and were supportive. The Mexican food is delicious and authentic.
There is no campus life and students live in different surrounding areas. You need a vehicle to commute to and from university, to buy groceries, and hang out with friends. I lived in Pennsville, NJ across from New Castle DE so I have to take the toll bridge daily. I had to travel over 1 hour to get to Philadelphia airport or the bus terminal.
I have a full-time university student and played college football.
I liked the university life and playing college football. Philadelphia is a great geographic location because I was within 35 minutes of the airport, and able to visit NYC, Boston, Washington DC, Atlantic City, and friends in New Jersey. I liked the fact that Philadelphia has lots of professional sports like baseball, basketball, football, and hockey. The tickets are affordable so it was great to attend a few professional sports with friends. The weather was nice and warmest than back home in Canada. I also like the night life and restaurants in Philly.
