Came from San Francisco, retired with Thai wife, been married 35 years, I was a chef, had my own business. We moved to Thailand because my wife's family is all there, and after retiring are income couldn't support are expences any longer. We now plan to live 1/2 time in the US, and spend most of are time traveling while we are both still healthy.
