Hi everyone! I am Christina, 38, Croatia, single, no children, freelance conference interpreter (English/German/Croatian) seeking new business challenges. I have been working in interpreting field since 2000 and finally decided I want to pursue another career path which is more connected with who I am and what I want to do in my life and this is Marine Science. 2 months ago, I came back from beautiful Australia (1 month stay) and have been looking for job vacancies ever since, reading various expat blogs online and doing some research because I fell in love the continent, its diverse nationalities, open door mindset, biodiversity, environmentally friendly lifestyle, beautiful weather, ease of doing business, great educational options etc. To be honest, I am not limited only to Australia - I am actually open to move anywhere I find a decent job and am also considering going back to the university to earn my PhD, as an option to strengthen my future business prospects. Moreover, I would like to take on jobs from fields different than my own because I would like to explore the business world a bit more, but I would of course accept translation & interpreting jobs as well in order to support myself in a foreign country.
