Starting yet another phase in life. Always an optimist. Like to follow my own path and see where it leads me. I like meeting people and making new friends, but it happens when it happens. I have learned to emotionally self-sufficient over the years, an important lesson..

My home is here
Nice house, and cheap. Lovely countryside, near to Köln & Dusseldorf.
I didn't expect the rain, even for an English person it rains a lot here! Also - they are incapable of sorting out the traffic.
Still unfolding..
Massively impressed at the development that has gone in to the area to make it a pleasant place to live.
Spent a year and a half alone in a small flat before selling up and bringing my family there. Now they are in a fabulous house just outside Köln. I just need to pay for it, one day I'll be going back..
Köln is now my adopted home. Reminds me of a German version of Brighton. Plenty going on there, alternative scenes and all that. It's in the centre of Europe, and a whole lot more affordable than London
Unfortunately, the Job I was certain to get turned out to be an illusion, and after 3 years I found myself with a big mortgage and no job.
Took over a house with a dream garden. Started my career proper. Daughter got to grow up in London.
London is my native home. I suppose I feel more engaged there with what is going on around me than anywhere else.
Even on a good wage, struggling to make ends meet, with the insane prices of houses and things. If you are not born rich, London is not the glamorous city it is made out to be. Although sometimes, you could just spend a day and night in the City and everything is forgiven..
Living in a hip and exciting district of a hip and exciting city...
Always something new going on in the City. Fun place to be during my younger years.
Eventually frustrated at the lack of career opportunities and no garden..
Living well, in sight of the fine castle...
Lovely people, still visit friends there often. And of course, I met my wife..
Grew up in Epping, just outside London, then a fairly rural town where artists and escapees from London lived, unfortunately now a mega-expensive commuter town full of stockbrokers...
The forest. The countryside. Benign British weather and wildlife.
