Study Protection of Human Rights and International Cooperation in Ravenna, Italy for my Master?s Degree at the Università di Bologna (there is a satellite campus there). I am deeply interested in ethnic conflict resolution, the climate refugee crisis, proliferation of extremism, the rise of the far-right, and how the aforementioned are all connected.

I study Protection of Human Rights and International Cooperation at the Università di Bologna?s Ravenna campus. I hope that I can gain Italian permanent residency and maybe one day citizenship but continue to work in the wider Euro-Mediterranean region, with emphasis on the Mediterranean. I am also considering working deeper in the Middle East and Central Asia.
Cute town, tranquil and nearby to Bologna, Rimini, and other wonderful areas of Emilia-Romagna
The city can be a quit too quiet and residential sometimes.l
Lived in Yaffa, south of Tel Aviv, where I interned over the summer for the group Physicians for Human Rights - Israel. I did extensive - mostly independent - travel to the West Bank in Occupied Palestine to see firsthand the brutal treatment of the Palestinians, documenting it through an amateur attempt at photojournalism while hoping to raise awareness among my extended social circle.
Yaffa is a beautiful city with a rich history and retains its pre-colonial character. It was easy to travel from Yaffa to other parts of Israel and Palestine. It is on the sea.
Yaffa has become a touristy destination.
Studied political science and Italian history and government, as well as the basics of the Italian language for 4 months, from 6 January to 2 May of that year. Learned more about the then exacerbating refugee crisis in the Mediterranean which continues unabated as I write this (2 February 2017). It is this crisis which I now am deeply interested in.
Moved to AZ from NC and began studying Political Science
Born and raised in South Charlotte where I was made who I am today, being refined in Arizona, Italy (twice), Israel and Palestine, and Ghana, before returning to AZ on-and-off.
