I was born and raised in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. I have always been living and working in Budapest. I have received a university degree of legal studies at the most famous and most acknowledge university in Hungary. I had worked as a legal consultant for a well known law office in Budapest for 4 years where I had the chance to manage the complete portfolio of many local and foreign clients from establishing a company to buy real estate property, stipulating contracts or represent them at the local court. I wished to widen my perspectives so I signed up for a legal consultant position at the Hungarian Tax Authority in 2008. I have become a team leader in 2010 and since then I have been organising and supervising the daily audit activities of 15 team members. My main duty is to reveal certain activities aiming tax evasion and tax fraud. I had the chance to participate in multilateral audit procedures (MLC) organised by the Committee of the EU to reveal and prevent certain patterns of tax fraud. Also I have received the honour to share the results of audits of the Hungarian Tax Authority at working visits. The question is: why I'm here at expat? :) Three years ago I met a lovely guy from New Jersey online. We got married in 2015 in Budapest and been living here since. The language is extremely difficult to learn and the job opportunities are also not promising for my husband so we have just decided to move back to NJ. According to our plan he would travel back to the US first to get a job and set up a place to live and I would join him a couple of months later. I'm a planner so I thought I might get some information and thoughts here to set up my new life in NJ. :) It is kind of rough in a way since I've never lived in an another country and I have to start my life all over so I would be very pleased and happy to chat with someone about my possibilities life and job wise in NJ. Thanks in advance!!! :)
