I am Olivia, originally from the Uk and now living in Australia. My family moved to Sydney two years ago and we're now living in Melbourne. I have two children who are both at school here, and we're all loving the Aussie way of life. I write about the mayhem of modern day parenting far from home, interspersed with tales of love, life and travel. I have had my writing published on various websites and in magazines here in Australia and the UK.

Expat experience
My family moved to Australia as an adventure. We travel, we explore the country and all it has to offer.
I love most things about Australia. The weather is beautiful, the beaches are spectacular and the opportunity to easily travel to Asia and the Pacific Islands is awesome.
The creepy crawlies, the snakes and the distance from home!!
We moved to Sydney as an adventure for the family.
Sydney is an awesome city, vibrant, beautiful and a great place to bring up children. It was heavenly.
I went to school in Abu Dhabi, and travelled around on weekends and in holiday times.
I adored everything about the Middle East. I loved the culture, the friends I made, the sunshine, the heat, the smells, the souks, I could go on.

I moved to the West Country to escape the expense of London. It is such a beautiful part of the UK.
The pubs, the people and the stunning countryside is what makes my heart flutter for the west country.
