Strangelover
Introduction
Born in England, raised for the most part in Australia, after which I travelled around Australasia and Europe, before settling in London in the mid-Nineties. I relocated to Greece in 2005 and while there are many challenges to living in Athens, I absolutely love it here.
I joined expat.com on 12 January 2011.
Expat experience
I live in a sleepy suburb in the north of Athens, surrounded by cats. For the first few years living in Greece, I set out to discover as much of the country as I could, now my job makes that a little difficult, but I still adore living in this country.
I love the variety, the ability to be at the beach, in the city or on a mountain top within an hour.
Taxi drivers!
Originally I did what every Aussie ex-pat does and worked in bars and pubs, before moving into the music industry.
I spent much of my time moving around the state, living in the city and living in the countryside.
