I live outside Seattle I've been to New Zealand and would love to move there but I need to set up some sort of networking system so I can get a job. I won't go unless I'm working. I won't be a mooch off the family there, I'm not looking for permanent citizenship if I don't need it. I just love New Zealand and would like to move there, buy a house and work as a Social Worker.
I joined expat.com on 16 February 2011.
Still in school, this is where I live now. I'm going to take up kayaking, I bought my house. Now that I have my degree no one is hiring. hmmmmm Looking at New Zealand.
I'm again in Port Angeles. It's pretty but there's not a lot to do other than hiking, camping, hunting, biking, sailing. If you like doing only those things you'll do fine here. Unfortunately, I like museums, theater a choice of foods
The Olympic Peninsula is full of retirees so you better not mind driving 45 MPH everywhere and waiting in line behind farting old ladies.
Beach, beach, beach. Picked up lots of sea glass, went to the Polynesian Cultural Center quiet a few times. We were stationed in Wahiawa.
Weather was beautiful. A Rainbow everyday.
Ohau is the slum of Hawaii. Crime is horrible, the stench is horrible, drugs are rampant and other than the beach, there really isn't much to do so you better like going to the beach.
I actually lived in Port Angeles, WA. This is where I bought my first sailboat and discovered sailing. Camping, hiking.
It's very beautiful and peaceful. Close to Victoria Canada
It's too far from Seattle. There is no nightlife, no musuems, no sports, the cost of living is high and there are no jobs.
I lived in Angel Fire which is a ski resort so lots of skiing, snowmobiling, hiking
It's very beautiful, most things to do except skiing are free.
The local indians put a curse on this place when the white men took it. IT SHOWS!
Hovering over the air conditioner
It's BIG
There are only two months per year that Texas is tolerable. April and October. All other times it is miserably hot or miserably cold and wet.
Sightseeing, visiting friends
The people were wonderfully friendly, the place is clean, lots of things to do both inside and outside.
It's so expensive to get there. The cost of living is high.
I lived in Boise, Idaho.
Boise is beautiful, low crime, lots of outdoor activities, reasonable cost of living, great people, just enough culture. It's a small big city.
It's not close enought to the coast.
I lived in Ft. Riley, KS.
Not much
It's out in the middle of nothing
I lived in Granite City, Illinois.
Not Much, it's close to St. Louis
Granite City is the armpit of the world. It's a steel mill town with all the mills closd. It's dirty, poor and very racial.
I lived in Westminster which is a suburb of Denver
Denver is gorgeous. Close to the mountains, skiing and snowmobiling.
I was there on the only Christmas day when it was 80 degrees on Christmas.
I lived in Grainfield Kansas. I first married here.
Well it's peaceful
It's out in the middle of nothing.
I first left home in St. Louis.
ST. Louis Blues Hockey. Irish Bars, The Arch, Six Flags over Mid America, The parks, St. Louis is a pretty town. If they'd just move it to the coast it would be perfect.
Lots of crime, racial tension.
