Introduction
Came of age on Okinawa in the 1960s and have spent my career abroad, only occasionally landing in the US for a couple of years. Raised 3 wonderful daughters solo, in Egypt for 5 years, and they now have international careers. US bases are Seattle and Colorado. In Bangkok for granddaughter until they relocate in Sept. '18. Working now as a Health Coach and continue health/wellness writing.

Needed more intellectual stimulation than I found there --with limited Spanish and limited mobility. Volcanic ash 50km away and high cost of living drove me to new horizons.

don't recall--recently visited Okinawa and found it far more wonderful than in the '60s--since Japan resumed management of the prefecture!
