I'm an American attorney by trade, but have been living as an expat, working in international development for 10 years. I enjoy a good meal with friends, accompanied by a nice glass of wine, interesting conversation and hearty laughter. I don't like arrogance or angry challenges in my personal life because we suffer boors everywhere else, don't we? I love the movies and talking about them afterward--what was great, what wasn't so great, and so on. I've been in Cairo for almost 2 years and if I can't find a fun expat community, I'll be looking for greener places in a few months.
