We have lived in Spain for 12 years now but fancy a change and love the Island of Malta so we have decided that this is where wewould like to spend our retirement years.My husband has a great interest in boating and fishing so Malta seems an ideal place for him to indulge in his interests.Although I have grasped the spanish language, my husband finds it very difficult to communicate and, being a great talker, he misses conversing in his native tongue which Malta, of couse, allows him to do.We enjoy living in a mediterranean climate and the outdoor living.We have worked in the hospitality industry most of our lives running pubs, restaurants and hotels and are therefore,I think, very sociable people. Originally, we come from the south of England (Medway Towns) but have travelled all over with our jobs and I guess, that is where we developed the travelling bug!We shall be visiting Malta again in a couple of months, but this time we hope to be viewing some properties for sale as we are commited to moving there, hopefully very soon, as our home in Spain is now on the market and we look forward to talkiing to anyone who has made the same move and any prblems it involves, especially in health care, for although we are both healthy at the moment,but as age progresses we need to be aware of these things.
