I've been living in Turkey for the last seven years in the small eco village of Kirazli Koyu in the Aegean region of Aydin. I write, I cook, I rent out part of my stone house to independent travelers and every few years I build something unique because I hate that Turkey drowns under concrete! I'm currently renovating a sprawling old Kerpic house in a small village in Aydin to make a boutique rental business called House Elements.
I joined expat.com on 20 September 2007.
I've built a boutique hotel in the village I now live in, I then rebuilt a stone house in the same village and I'm currently working on the renovation of an adobe house into a boutique rental business. I also rent out part of my house here to independent travelers and I write on economics, food and small business development for international clients.
I love the energy of Turkey, I love that it is so huge and varied and I can spend the next twenty years exploring it.
I wish people put litter in bins!
