Hi there! I'm a long term Istanbul resident who thoroughly enjoys living here despite too much traffic, too many people, and unbelievable construction! Life here is certainly colourful if a bit unpredictable at times! I love my blog: it has brought me so many pluses but I think it's the sharing aspect that is the most rewarding. I've been writing my blog for three years or so - my cooking repertoire has certainly expanded, that's for sure! I really do like the seasons too - when I first came here, the markets weren't very attractive, there were no big supermarkets, and you had to make everything from scratch! Cooking the hard way! But that's how I learnt and now I mostly buy our fruit and veg from the markets which are now such a joy, and rarely go to the supermarket. One unexpected result of the blog is my now passionate interest in photography! Istanbul is such a great place to photograph too so I get out and about as much as poss with my camera.
