Introduction

I arrived in Viet Nam in July of 2018 retired. I was living in Kauai Hawaii working, injured my back and had to stop working and could no longer afford to live in Kauai comfortably so I came to Viet Nam to enjoy the warmth and food as it is in Hawaii. I am now looking for my spot to settle into. I first tried Hoi An which I really liked but it was too hot and humid so I went to Mui Ne for 2 months. Meet a lot of good people but just wasn't feeling what I'm looking for in Mui Ne. Don't ask me what I'm looking for, I'll tell you when I find it. A feeling I guess you can say. I'll know when I find it. I have lots of time and searching is part of the adventure I signed up for coming to Viet Nam. So I'm here in Vung Tau in search of a house to rent, I don't do apartments and I prefer to be outside of the city, more rural type area where it is quiet, serene, peaceful. I can visit the city then go home to seclusion and sleep comfortably. I love SE Asia, so on my 3-month visa leave, I get to explore SE Asia following my dream. My last Visa run I went to Siem Reap to take in Angkor Wat area. I found out that I love Cambodia, just wish it was just as inexpensive to live as it is in Viet Nam. I love Thailand too and the same not as cheap to live as it is in VN. I love VN too. To me, it's all about the food and so far I'm really loving it. It's not just food I'm looking for, it's beauty in people and places. And so far I've found plenty of what is beautiful scenery and people. Really enjoying myself.
