I am a retired publisher. I am an American. My wife and I have an apartment in Carvoeiro. We want to move to Portugal permanently but the visa process is a bit daunting. Has any other retired person gone through the D7 Visa process? It looks easier than the traditional Residence Visa process. Any help you could give me regarding either method of obtaining a visa would be appreciated. We will be mailing our documents to the San Francisco Consulate. There seems to be contradictory information all over the internet. Thanks to all of you. Hal
