Hailed by the press for his remarkable technical skills and expressive poetry, Hong Kong born cellist Alvin Wong performs as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific. He has premiered concertos and cello works by Grammy- and Pulitzer-winning composers. Alvin has served on faculties of Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and Connecticut College, and is the founding artistic director of the Melbourne Cello Festival. He received the Doctor of Musical Arts from Yale University.
