First a quick intro, My name is Rich, I’m 29 years old, married with a 9 month old daughter. I have a work background in carpentry/joinery (fully qualified site joiner) and also product design/draughtsman work (2D & 3D). Currently I’m working in a role which combines both backgrounds into one role, designing high spec. timber frame, children’s play areas and outdoor furniture. Plan for Oz. I’ve been trying to make it over to Oz for many years now but never managed to actually see it through. In short when I was 24 I was saving to do a year in Oz when I met a girl who I couldn’t bear to leave behind at that stage, that girl is now my wife Joanne, so all is good  Many times we’d day dreamed about going to Oz and eventually decided we could rent our house out and still go, so we started to save again when my wife became pregnant with our first child Emily, she’s the best thing to ever happen to us so again all is good  Well now we’re all up to speed and once again we are talking about heading over to Oz for a year. It’s a little more complicated this time as we have Emily to consider but we’re thinking is it’s now or never really as Emily wouldn’t need to be up routed from school etc. So basically this is our first step towards look into it, to see if anyone else has done this with a child so young (I’m going to guess they have) and if so what their experiences have been like.
