Alan Pearce was born in London and has worked as a journalist, broadcaster and author for the past thirty years. A former managing editor at both the International Press Institute and The Phnom Penh Post, and foreign correspondent, he has covered conflicts around the world for a variety of news organisations including Time Magazine, The Times, Sunday Times, Sunday Telegraph, Paris Match, and Sygma Photo News agency. He was injured covering the Taliban takeover of Kabul in 1996 while working as the BBC Afghanistan correspondent.
