Hi ALL, Moved from Perth, Western Australia to Saigon. Been told by members of the VN community in Perth there are things I should check out and be prepared for when I get there. Modify the above - I've now been living here for 2 & 1/2 (plus) years and do NOT wish to leave Viet Nam - apart from taking my WONDERFUL VN LADY partner on holidays whenever (we can afford it and) she can get away. Staying here permanently, except for the occasional forced return to Australia for surgery when absolutely needed. Unfortunately, I'm a LOT older than the average Expat on this site, which doesn't help. :-( OK - arrived here in one piece - now have a two bedroom apartment in District 7. On the long learning curve of learning my way around HCMC's streets and how to get around on the motorbike. The people of Viet Nam - well, Sai Gon anyway, have proved to be WONDERFUL and very friendly :-) I LOVE IT HERE !
