I was born in Denmark. Number 8 out of 9. My father a tailor. Came to the US at age 17. Love the US. I had a long life dream of becoming a historic inn owner and operator (20 rooms then, 17 now) in historic Savannah, GA. Sold in end of 1999. Then did about 10 years of fundraising for Anderson Cancer Institute in Savannah, GA, until the Memorial Hospital was acquired and became a non profit which then made my fundraising unnecessary. Also had some wonderful years as volunteer at Open Arms, a part of Memorial Hospital, that cared for newborns without a home. Married to a super intellectual man, I am not one, but he is wonderful. I became a grandmother too late but I love my daughter who gave me those beautiful two children and we are all looking forward to being able to visit with each other again. After Corona -19. My husband and I are looking for a new adventure, too young at heart, and we have become intrigued and would like to live rather than visit Italy. So very interested in making this a successful move and learn from those who have already made the move.
