I'm a retired pastor who didn't want to just sit around and watch TV or fish, but continue to be engaged in making a productive contribution to the world. I investigated opportunities for service in several places and was eventually attracted to Uganda for a number of reasons both personal (I met my wife here) and professional (my denomination had a need for pastors with advanced theological education who could teach new pastors here).
