Hello all, my name is Rich. I am an attorney based in New York, looking for a career change. I am interested in teaching English abroad. Specifically in Australia, as my girlfriend is from there and she is interested in going back, and I am interested in going with her. I want to find out more about the specifics of what it takes, and about visa sponsorshipI plan on taking either the TEFL or CELTA certification course soon(ish). And I am looking to connect with those who have done it, or are doing it. Specifically, I'd like to get a sense of what the market is like is for English teachers, ESL, and what the likelihood of being sponsored actually is. I hope to make some new acquaintances here and am really interested to hear your stories!
