I am looking to do much of the same as I did in Mozambique with focus on private English, piano and vocal tutoring, as well as event & catering for niche clientele. I would love to get involved some charity initiatives and volunteer work (possibly in the ornamental fish industry at the Rio Negra). I intend to explore the culture of Brazil thoroughly as well as travel to various destinations throughout South America.

Currently it would seem my biggest challenges would be bureaucracy, safety in some zones and of course, covid-19.

I enjoyed a multi-faceted and diverse lifestyle encompassing a kaleidoscope of amazing friends, rewarding opportunities and unforgettable memories. I taught a range of different subjects from pre-school to high school graduation level at various international schools (American International School, British International School, Scandinavian School and the South African International School). These included academic (Biology, History, Life Orientation, Social Sciences), linguistic (English & Afrikaans) and creative subjects (Design, Art, Music, Vocal, Song-writing & Drama). I also did private tutoring in English, piano and vocal to children and adults. I also organised Survivor-styled biology excursions for schools in Maputo as well as from South Africa on the nearby Inhaca Island's renowned biology research station. I trained students from various schools to compete in talent competitions as well as tri--nations public speaking competitions where they garnered most of the top accolades. I was also the marketing vice-president of the first Toastmasters in Mozambique. Furthermore, I started up my own exclusive events, catering and PR company with multinational luxury brands, socialites and the diplomatic community as clients. Added to this I was the national ambassador for Internations for several years as well as a radio host on renowned LM Radio, where I was nominated in the category of Best Radio Show for the Mozambican Music Awards. I was also named a top influencer by Coco Cola Mozambique. More memorable was the fundraising and charity events I hosted for the Mozambican Animal Protection Society and the local children of the Fisherman's Village. I also also participated in two national televised singing competitions (RTP) where I placed first and second respectively. I was also actively involved in Mozambican Fashion Week.

Bureaucracy, corruption and police intimidation towards expats. Cost of living in some sectors was challenging but manageable.
