I am considering the possibility of expatriating from the US. Have not definitively decided on it, and if I do, it would not be for several years. I have just started doing research on the possibilities. My main concerns are the money requirements for obtaining residency. I will have some money from my retirement from my state job, but am too young for S.S.(yet). I will have my funds as a cash out in an IRA, not an annuity ( which wouldn't be enough for the requirement anyway)So, I would have to work (which is fine). I have a number of skills and degrees that should be useful- I am a certified veterinary technician( specialized in pathology), a licensed massage therapist, and also have a BA in fine arts.
