I've been married to a Filipina for 17 years. I've lived in the Philippines almost that long. I live about an hour from Davao in a rural area within shouting distance of many of my wife's relatives and lifelong friends. I speak Visayan but not fluently. I have written a book about Visayan grammar which I researched intensively for 3 years. It is completely free and I have nothing to sell. I own several other forums, facebook groups, etc. I am a forum admin but on this forum I am just another expat. My wife and I have a 15 year old foster son. I love the Philippines. I am closer to 70 than 60. I plan to live the rest of my life in the Philippines. My hobby is trying to write a computer program for genealogists to track their family history.
