I was born in Ukraine, but I lived in New York City since the age of 3. I've been in Singapore since the beginning of April last year. I ended up in Singapore because of my boyfriend, now husband. He decided to come back to Singapore and I came along. The first three months were stressful, but I did end up finding a job, so that made things a lot easier. For now, I'm in-between jobs, going to a Buddhist temple for classes 2 times a week, and studying Mandarin with a tutor from time to time. Other than that, I wouldn't mind making more friends. Other than my ex-colleagues, people at the Buddhist temple, and my husband, I don't really know anyone in Singapore.
I joined expat.com on 17 September 2011.
