I completed my higher education in my country of birth, Turkey, before moving to the UK to do a PhD in 1985. After my PhD, I worked in the UK in various establishments which include the Universities of Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne, Bradford, Cambridge, Glasgow, Bristol and Leeds. I now work in Turkey. I am dual national.
