Introduction

I have spent 50 years as a RESIDENT CIVIL ENGINEER around the world and wish to come to Gambia and work as an Engineer or Teacher in order to continue to be useful. I have spent many years working in Africa and wish to return. I have contacts also in Zambia and RSA but now have friends in Gambia who can assist me in getting a job.

I joined expat.com on 31 January 2022.

I can speak My mother tongue is English. I speak fair French and spent six years at school learning Latin.
Interests I enjoy teaching, writing and good company. I enjoy assisting other people in achieving their goals. I have done a lot of charity work in Africa and the Far East. I am fit and do a lot of cycling and outdoor pursuits. I play piano, bagpipes and the guitar

I have been in touch with friends who recommend that I travel to Gambia and familiarise myself with the country. I should then find work as a Resident Civil Engineer or a teacher of mathematics and English

It needs people like myself who has a great deal of experience of Africa and other places which are not like the UK which I do not like.
