I'm originally from Staten Island, New York. I've lived in Spain, specifically Seville, since 2006. I'm married to a sevillian and we have two boys. I make my living as an English teacher, but I'm a writer by vocation. In 2009, I started writing in Spanish, and this has led to a series of articles published in Diario de Sevilla, and now a blog published in the digital edition of this same newspaper. Both the series of articles and the blog are titled "La Sevilla del guiri," (The Seville of the Foreigner). Perhaps certain visitors of this site, if they read Spanish and have lived or are living in Spain, will encounter my blog and find insight, humor, and even solace in the experiences I describe.
I joined expat.com on 18 October 2011.
