Expat experience
Thessaloniki is the most wonderful place I've lived. The Greek culture is the best.
I thought it couldn't be as bad as in Athens (same company). It was worse.
100% Locked-up due to Covid. And the company forgot to inform non-natives that they needed to have papers to leave the house. They just didn't care.
Beautiful country with very nice culture and people.
Salary & rent ratio. I was told that I could negotiate about the salary. A few years later, I found out that an ex-colleague (with much less experience and younger) earned net ?700 more than I received. I knew the company was one of the worst I worked for, but this bad....
Nothing (OK... nature is beautiful).
I never felt more unwelcome than here. People (stores, medical centres, HR in the company etc.) totally unwilling to help. What an awful experience. Never again.
