Hi we are at the age when you go lets have an adventure, but everyone wants to tell you you will be killed if you leave Australia. Perhaps thats true but if you dont give it a go do you ever really live. We would like to leave Australia semi permanently and live in a number of different places. I'm completing 2nd year uni in Italian language but since we want to go to South America I probably should have started with spanish, but the plan was Italy inially until we realised we would run out of money in Italy but probably wont in South America. I would love to hear from people who are expat aussies in South America and hear your stories and learn about housing for expats in South America (can you buy, will you get ripped off), the law, the dangerous stuff the fun stuff. Cheap tequila great beaches, helping out volunteer stuff, working (I'm a Chiropractor) which soccer team is best which food is best/worst etc etc etc. Let me know. Oh yeah, I did learn Spanish for 12 months about 15 years ago so I'm hoping to study it there too. Any advice on that?
