I live and work in Central Florida and will soon retire. My wife and I are considering making Ecuador our permanent home. I was born there and have visited over a hundred times but I've never lived there. We're bi-lingual and look forward to meeting other expats. We haven't decided on where to settle...there are so many places that are ideal and welcome new neighbors - including expats. Knowing where and what to avoid, and having the valuable resource of friends and family there, we're aware of the benefits of living there as retirees...it truly is a great place to live...if you know how to deal with the ridiculous red-tape bureaucracy.
