My name is Steven. I am a professional Chef, by trade. I took a "leave of absence" from the Culinary Arts in 2005. Presently, I give "historical and cultural" day-tours of Las Vegas and it's surrounding "places of interest to tourists". I dive a 45 foot "custom motorcoach", Monday through Friday; to tourist sites like: The Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon, Death Valley and Evening City Tours of Las Vegas. I write all of my own "narratives". I grew up in Santa Barbara, California in the 1960s, 70s, 80s. I left So.Cal. in 1990. I have a B.S. degree from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business in Business Administration. I also attended the Culinary Institute of America in 1995 to advance my Culinary Career. I have a very extensive background in all aspects of the Culinary Arts as an Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager. I "opened" the Venetian Hotel-Casino in 1999 as the Room Chef of the Team Dining Room. During Culinary School in New York, I did my "externship" in Las Vegas at Bally's Hotel-Casino as a "Chef Tournant". I have been the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager at the Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk, Nebraska. I was the Executive Chef at the Lodge at Brian Head in Brian Head, Utah. I have also been the Executive Chef at Portobella Ristorante in Summerlin, Nevada. My last Chef position in 2005 was as the Executive Chef of the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Las Vegas, Nevada. I wrote the menus, did all of the hiring and ordered all cook and plateware for this "satellite" of the famous Rainbow on the "Sunset Strip" in Hollywood, California. I am interested and fascinated by the history and culture of Morocco. Middle-Eastern culture, cuisine, architecture and life-styles are attractive to me and I would like to investigate them more. I am going to visit Morocco soon. I am interested in renting and then, perhaps, eventually buying a residence there. I do not know much about the country but I am very interested in learning more about living and working in Morocco from "Ex-Pats" who currently live and work in any of it's cities. I can teach English, give historical and cultural day-tours in English to tourists and/or cook, professionally; in any of the cities in Morocco where English would be understood and spoken until I learn the "native" language.
