Introduction

I joined expat.com on 30 November 2024.

I can speak English
Interests I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. My two daughters are grown and live on their own. I have an 8 year old grandson. My parents are in their 80's, so I can't leave them. My dad has dementia and my husband is in a wheelchair. But he's coming with me to Panama.

Expat experience

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Changed my mind about moving to Italy. I'm afraid if something happens to my family, it may take over 24 hours to get home. I'm now looking at Panama, Central America.

I like the low cost of living, the beauty, the retirement visa and the people. Anyway, that's what I've read. I haven't actually been there yet.

The traffic in Panama City, the internet is weak, the flooding during the long rainy season.
