Introduction

I retired very early, so I'm available for various house-sitting situations. I live in NYC., with my husband who travels a great deal for business. Having lived, gone to school, and spent most of my life in the USA, I consider myself an American from the USA. I love the USA. Millions have died trying to reach any piece of land called the USA. I love what the USA represents, what It has offered me and I've accepted with much gratitude, love, and humbleness. Everything I have, I owe to the USA. I cherish and guard my USA passport with reverence, knowing that I have what others have given their lives for. I have traveled throughout the USA for both business and pleasure. Please feel free to see my bio at: Godsangelsoverme@gmail.com I have also traveled throughout Latin America, for months at a time. A friend of mine who was a teacher at the time went on trips with me to Thailand, as well as Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador. After finishing school in Paris, 1976, I joined the Sorbonne summer travel dept, and went with them to Indonesia. We spent about three months in Singapore, Bali, as well as other islands. favorite proberb: When the disciple is ready, the master appears. Another one: And by GOD, we are going to have peace, even if we have to fight for it. The next one is in Spanish: Dime con quien andas, y te dire quien eres!! Favorite music?? Think of Sarah Brightman, Andrea Bocelli, Yanni, Andre Rieu, John Barry, Celine Dion, and if you've ever seen the Last of the Mohicans, now you are talking. A dream place to retire? In a mountain, overlooking the ocean. Very, very green, lots of foliage, thousands of colorful birds to admire and listen to, and the ability to do sun-gazing early in the mornings, and late afternoons. An environment conducive to meditation. My top consideration? A place with no humidity, with the above mentioned criteria.PLEASE NOTE: IMPORTANT---Please don't contact me with anything else, other than house-sittings. If you are interested in my friendship, we could attempt same, once I'm in Costa Rica----or in Mexico. At the present time, however, my time is being consumed by issues I must address before starting the House-Sittings. I have received several emails with what sounds to me, like interested parties who are looking for romance. I have an adoring husband. I am NOT looking for romance. Many blessings to all Betsy Godsangelsoverme

Grew up in Colombia through age 14, was raised there by nuns, in a convent school. No....I was not an orphan, nor was I trying to become a nun. LOL. Once in the USA, I continued school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While there, I would go on trips to Mesa Verde in Colorado, as well as the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Long weekends in STA. Fe, as well as Pueblo and Taos,NM. I also remember going on trips with the school to towns in Texas, close to the border. At that time the border was not what it is today. (Thank God) After High school Moved to Poughkeepsie, New York, where I graduated from Marist College (Upstate, NY). Spent one of those four years in Paris. after graduating from Marist, went back to Paris, spent about five years in France. At the present time, my only project is to go to Costa Rica, and spend time there, doing house-sittings. I may have to give up my apartment in Manhattan, which is by Grand Central Station. I've lived and worked here in Manhattan for more than twenty years.

Well....Right now we live in Manhattan, NYC. Everybody says this is the capital of the world. Parisians think, and also openly say, that Paris is the capital of the world. In Manhattan, one has all the amenities one could ever hope to have. If you can't find it here, most likely you won't find it anywhere else. I used to go to museums and concerts a lot, Dean and I like to go to shows on Christmas time. What I don't like? It isn't so much that I don't like it, as much as missing it..... nature. In my view, paradise would look like the islands of Hawaii. I am not crazy about the humidity in most the USA, nor do I like the desert too much. I love temperate climates. Cool in the morning and night, and warm, with no humidity during the day. I really don't mind showers during the day; that is what makes the forest verdant, lots of flowers, birds singing, and other animals enjoying the abundance and blessings God has provided us with.
