I am a poet, writer, and fine art photographer. Originally from Portland, Oregon, I've lived many places, including New York City, Okinawa, and San Diego, before returning to the Northwest, making Seattle my home. During the decades I worked as a psychotherapist, I also became passionate about photography. I studied with Canadian photographer Freeman Patterson and John Daido Loori Roshi, Zen Abbot of Zen Mountain Monastery and past student of Minor White. I led Creative Vision workshops for photographers in Seattle, in Canada, and in the Southwest. After retiring from my therapy practice, I earned an MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry from Antioch Los Angeles and moved to Anacortes, Washington, where I currently live with my photographer husband. I'm also grandmother to 7 granddaughters! For years after traveling to France we dreamed of living there. But recently my husband was notified of his Canadian citizenship, so now we're looking at relocating to Canada to be closer to our children.
