Hi, I am a dominican girl studing in Rio de Janeiro since seven months ago. I like Social Sciences but also likes enjoy party and adventure. I will stay here during 2 years and I really want to join this society and its culture. Sometimes I think this goal could be very difficult considering that cariocas only speak its own lenguage (and I´ve started to learn it just weeks ago and my native lenguage, spanish, is useful here) Anyways.. I´m glad I moved over here, this could be a very nice experience. Kindly, Diana

I study Political Science. Actually it is the only thing that I do at the moment.
Carnaval is an amazing space to get involved with culture, the train runs incredibly well; banks are centers of transfers and payment for basic services; presenting your student ID card you get discounts at the box office of cultural activities.
Quality of life is a privilege of a few; economically speaking, the cost of life is burlesque. Political system is pluralist notunderstanding standard citizen is not involved with its topics; the last three governments have been workig for social inclusion but they haven´t been successful; services and products in the telecommunication area are coarse and stink.
The most attractive thing in the country is the human quality of its nationals. People are very supportive and partying. Comunication services are the best in America Latina; young people participate and think about politics; culture is inclusive; beaches are awesome; food is great.
Public electricity system doesn´t work, some streets are blocked a cause of endless arrangements; Citizen security is being seriously questioned; a lot of people is looking for a job without success.
