Hi all, I might live in Guate or Mexico for a few months, I want my teenage girl to go to school there, she'll be in 10th grade, any suggestions for good schools to look into? We live in New York City. Thanks, I'm new to this group. Jules

GUNS IN GUATEMALA by TheDQ

What is the status on guns here? Banned or can have a concealed carry permit or what?

Traveler57

You must have residency and over 25y/o and then have a lawyer or Transmitador handle the paper work. Once approved (w/Gun License) buy your gun(s)and bring them to DECOM for inspection and registration. After that it's once a year no big hassle. Read More

You can only get a Guatemalan DL if you have residency. Living Expat style on requires you get your passport stamped every 90 days or get residency which IMO serves no purpose or benifit. Read More
