I am German, living since 2007 in Oslo, Norway. I came here for work, like many others. Professional life is a bit disappointing, my privat life offers more opportunities with lots of spare time ! :-) Struggeling with the language and not finding it easy to learn, no matter what others say ;-) I am by myself here, no husband, no boyfriend, no kid, no dog. Just me. And the group of friends I meanwhile found :-) Hopefully the group will grow ! Recently my friend and I opened a group in facebook to join the fun in Oslo. We are very active and hope the one or other activity will find others to join. Or things you just do not like to do by yourself, or always wanted to and never got the spirit to do - like a guided tour in a museum, a walk (not a "tur") through the woods in the enviroment.

Internationality even in such a comparitively small place. Oslo is "the city" in Norway and has all a capital has to offer - just in a nutshell. With some efforts you get to meet a lot of interesting people, and even me being a city-girl - start to like the possibilitie of having access into the woods by Tban anytime, the connections to the water and the hills for home-skiing :-)
It sometimes is just too urban, small and sooo conservative....
this is my home town - and always will ;-)
being still small and middle-class, it was big enough to find new places all the time. The port and water connection is nice, and we even have beaches.
Sometime even nice places get boring and a change is scheduled.
