I've been in the UAE for about 2 years and unfortunately it seems to me that everyone is interested only in shopping, overpriced status symbols, fancy restaurants and bars, night clubs and one night stands. I really miss interesting conversations about culture, science, arts, learning about different countries and professions, etc., etc. and just simply having friends without any "dirty intentions".
