I visited Quito and Cuenca, Ecuador for 11 days in February, 2013 and I'm now planning to 'try out' Ecuador after our eight (8) grandchildren get enough of us grandparents. I want to do the research required to establish a full time life in Ecuador. I took an online course where I was certified to teach English as a second language. I've subscribe to International Living since 2002 and read several Google blogspot.com expat in Cuenca websites. I am researching an investor's visa by way of investing in an international sustainable specialty coffee company.
