I completed my university education on May 2009 and graduated on December 10th 2009 with a second class honours-upper division in B.A (Sociology), from Moi University. I also have a Diploma in Project Management from the Kenya Institute of Management. As a sociology and project management graduate, I have extensively covered wide areas such as: development concepts and application; quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis; social policy and administration; philosophy and development; comparative development strategies; political sociology; international relations; contemporary political ideologies; social policy and administration; political philosophy; state, society and development; sociology of gender; community development and mobilization; social work; project management lifecycles (PMLC’s); among others. From May 2009 to June 2011, I worked as a social worker with Reality Tested Youth Programme (R.Y.P) - a community Based Organization based in Kiamaiko Ward, Huruma.R.Y.P is envisioned towards promoting human welfare through its several departments which runs different projects. Among its departments are: women and children(involved in fighting against Gender Based Violence through promoting peace, guidance and counseling, talents searching in children through sports and drama clubs)Environment and Health(involved in organizing small self –help groups and allocating them on responsibilities such as garbage collection, tree planting, street cleaning, garden-in-a –sack farming, urban farming);human rights and governance (involved in creation of awareness on issues such as human rights, Para-legal training);peace and reconciliation(whose mandate is to maintain and promote peace);wealth generation(involved in wealth generation activities such as car washing, selling water,e.t.c) Also worked as a field assistant (August 2011 to June 2012) with Dialog Forening Somalia(Nairobi office
