Présentation

I am Australian born with dual Hungarian citizenship. I am married with 5 children and we want to visit Hungary (Debrecen) for several months in 2013. I have relatives in Debrecen. Primarily we hope to live like the locals while exploring Hungary and other parts of Europe. If the oppportunity arises, I wouldn't mind teaching or tutoring.I have an education degree majoring in English and have taught in both primary and secondary sectors over the last 20 years. I know wages are not high in Hungary and wont be dependent on work to live as my husband will be on full payed leave. We expect to have approx 3800 Euros/month to live off and travel. After some research and calculations I expect our cost of living (for 2 adults& 5 children aged 5-14): gas, electric, food, rent, fuel, ahone and internet will absorb approx 2000Euros/month leaving 1800Euros/month for sightseeing, travel and leisure. I'd appreciate peoples' views on how realistic my calculations are interms of cost of living fora family of 7, and whether 1800Euros would actually be enough to explore Hungary and other parts of Europe. I'm looking for more detailed information and advice on the following: # Cost of living, # Prospects of teaching/tutoring work and what the standard pay would be for this? # All 5 of my children also have dual citizenship: how would this impact on educating them in Hungary whilst there? # Availability and cost of rental in Debrecen for family of 7 compared to Budapest # Buying a car in Hungary - 7 seater/ reselling it
