I'd love to live in Budapest or anywher in Ireland. Not an ex-pat yet, though I dream of it daily. I'm an artist specializing in hand painted family crests, which I embellish with jewels, gold leaf, pearls and the like (NancyRutlandArts.com). New Orleans is close to me,(2 hrs so I amble the Quarter often, enjoying the street artists and musicians there. Northern Ireland and Spain are the two countries in which I have volunteered (NI twice teaching art,archery, wall climbing etc at Share Holiday village; and Spain 4 times teaching conversational English). My hopes are to travel the world in this manner, as volunteering is the only way I can afford to do so. Couch surfing is also fun and I have hosted a few people, as well as surfed in Germany, Holland, England, Spain and Northern Ireland. I highly recommend this as it is the best way to get to know the true people and learn the culture of the countries in which you are in. If anyone knows of places to volunteer that you have liked, email me from my website, please. I'm anxious to keep traveling!
