Introduction

From the NW of England, I served as a high school teacher for 22 years. I stopped doing that at age 55, then did some training as a teacher of English as a foreign language. I love Israel, and would like to live in Jerusalem for a year, at least. I offer business standard coaching in English, on a 1:1 basis. I'm stepping into unknown waters, heading for Jerusalem. My initial needs will be for simple accommodation (for one person) with internet access. I will be bringing only two suitcases with me. I would really appreciate some experienced ex-pat info on things like a working visa, places and scams to avoid, suggestions about my idea of offering business class English coaching, sensible health-care provision, registration with the authorities - and a dozen other things that I haven't mentioned here. Let's just take it one at question at once. To all respondents, thank you very much for your time and care. I appreciate it. Phil T
